Reception at the Latvian Embassy in Minsk
In the afternoon of October 17th, the EAPN-Latvia delegation:
Laila Balga, Marite Rozentale, Diana Jasinska,
Iveta Salve, Daina Bruvele, Janis Stjadja and
Maris Kalejs, as well as Marina Borisova, Vice-President
of the Foundation Interakcia, visited the Latvian Embassy in
Minsk. The representatives of the Baltic Sea Region project were
warmly welcomed there by Einars Semanis, the Latvian
Ambassador to Belarus, and by Marta Veikeniece, the Advisor
to the Ambassador of Latvia.
During the one-hour discussion, while drinking coffee, Latvian
representatives briefed both Latvian Embassy members on the
situation regarding the NGOs in Latvia and Belarus, they also
focused on the support programs for people with disabilities and the
simplification of cross-border visits (to Belarus). They also
discussed the existing opportunities (and those for the subsequent
period) for cooperation between the NGOs in both countries, listened
to the Ambassador sharing his experiences and wishes to strengthen
the cross-border relations.

Interakcia with information on the Foundation's cross-border
cooperation.
