24.10.2022. Kristianstad, Sweden
Local workshop of NGO educators on competencies for strengthening gender equality in Sweden

The local workshop was implemented in 24 October, 2022, in Kristianstad by partner B-Creative Association, lead by Ingmarie Rohdin.

The activity increased the competence of 22 NGO participants in the field of social inclusion. The target group of this activity was NGO participants: with different ages (19-63), both sexes (13 women, 9 men), people with disabilities (9), persons with low-income (11) and with different education level (6 students, secondary - 6, professional - 5, higher - 5).

The content of this workshop was aimed at increasing knowledge and information about gender equality and women's rights in the public environment, to which the non-governmental organizations contribute. The legal and operational nature of BC made it necessary to discuss during this workshop the capacity of the association to pursue its goals for social inclusion of women and men.

This workshop addressed issues related to providing NGO participants with the understanding, knowledge and skills to offer support for the inclusion of each individual, as well as to building capacity of the association to support the inclusion of such an individual, while paying particular attention to the disadvantaged groups of population.

Through informative materials and discussions, BC educators Ingmarie Rohdin, Asa Hedlin Olsson, Catta Olander and Johan Edvinsson shared their experiences of the situation within the association and put together proposals that will contribute to the improvement of the socially inclusive environment and the inclusion process.

This workshop also provided an opportunity to involve in the discussion the participants with less experience in the programs offered by Erasmus+ and in the context of the European dimension. Attracting educated professionals to the NGO network will be an important tool for increasing people's well-being in Sweden.

At the end of this workshop, the results achieved were evaluated and no less than two proposals of the participants were summarized.
