06-07.02.2023. Solvesborg, Sweden
Summary of survey and local workshop of NGO
educators on creating innovative courses for disadvantaged groups in
Sweden
The local workshop was implemented in 6 and 7 February 2023, in
Solvesborg, Sweden, by partner B-Creative Association, led by
Ingmarie Rohdin, Manager.
The activity increased the competence of 22 NGO educators in the
field of social inclusion. The target group of this activity was NGO
educators - staff, experts and volunteer specialists with various
ages (24-65), Swedish nationality (22), both sexes (13 women, 9
men), a person with disability (1), persons with low-income (19),
seniors with low- income (2), persons with different educational
level (higher - 5, professional - 5, students - 12). However, every
target group member's level of education and previous experience in
promoting non-formal adult education are key determinants for them
to participate and expand their knowledge in this activity, then
pass on their knowledge to the members of their organization,
especially to the most vulnerable people.
The legal and operational nature of BC made it necessary for this
workshop to discuss the ability of the association to achieve its
goals by conducting a membership survey and offering innovative
courses to disadvantaged population groups. Through informative
materials and discussions, BC educators Ingmarie Rohdin,
Asa Hedlin Olsson and Maria Bengtsson shared their
experiences of the situation within the network and put together
proposals that will contribute to the improvement of the socially
inclusive environment and the educational process for disadvantaged
groups of population.
Summary material on the innovative courses proposal of the Swedish
network will follow. This workshop also provided an opportunity to
involve in the discussions the participants with less experience in
the programs offered by Erasmus+ and in the context of the European
dimension. Attracting educated professionals will be an important
tool to the network of the regions of Sweden.
The results of the workshop were evaluated and no less than 3
proposals were summarized.
