Local workshop of NGO educators on raising
awareness of digital environment for disadvantaged groups in Sweden
The local workshop was implemented in 30 and 31 May, 2023, in
Bromolla, Sweden, by partner B-Creative Association, led by
Ingmarie Rohdin, Manager.
The activity increased the competence of 25 NGO educators in the
field of social inclusion. The target group of this activity was NGO
educators - staff, experts and volunteer specialists with various
ages (49-92), Swedish nationality (25), both sexes (16 women, 9
men), seniors with low-income (19), persons with different
educational level. However, every target group member's level of
education and previous experience in promoting non-formal adult
education are key determinants for them to participate and expand
their knowledge in this activity, then pass on their knowledge to
the members of their organization, especially to the most vulnerable
people.
The legal and operational nature of BC made it necessary for this
workshop to discuss the ability of the association to achieve its
goals by raising awareness of digital environment for disadvantaged
groups of population in Sweden.
Through informative materials and discussions, BC educators
Ingmarie Rohdin and Asa Hedlin Olsson shared their
experiences of the situation within the network and put together
proposals that will contribute to the improvement of the digital
environment and the educational process for disadvantaged groups of
population. This workshop also provided an opportunity to involve in
the discussion the participants with less experience in the programs
offered by Erasmus+ and in the context of the European dimension.
Attracting educated professionals to the NGO network will be an
important tool for increasing people's well-being in the regions of
Sweden.
At the end of this workshop, the results achieved were evaluated and
no less than three proposals of the participants were summarized.
